Every Friday there's a bazaar here with over 100 local vendors. Wares range from rugs to gems to brass vases and any number of things in between. Prices are negotiable; haggling is expected.
I have been enjoying your posts from your travels so much. It really gets me thinking about how you all are living over there and in the military in general, the things you experience, the places you get to see. My hats off to all of you. These have been my favorite "slice of life" posts.
We have two wonderful framed images of the mountains in this country- donated to our Birthing Center by a respected photographer in this area- they had a baby of course ! Get some for me please !!!
I like the way you show us a world completely unknown. Of course we get offical news flashes (since there are Dutch soldiers in Afghanistan), but this looks so real and "unoffical".
Fascinating - such a different place from what I know. And I've been around - but obviously not in the middle east. Thanks for sharing these photos. They are all amazing.
