 Taking a different view of things..
For this photo I used a 500W light for the ambient light, and two separate flash units to eliminate shadows and create a homely glow. I had to manually operate both flashes because I couldn't use a camera-mounted flash (it produced an awful glare across the copper).

Not a very interesting shot. A different angle, or crop may have helped.
