 Dang those power lines. I'm lousy at cloaning them out. I over use USM.

hehe, about following the lady! She's my neighbor and I was driving the same direction as she was walking. I hoped she didn't mind me taking several images of her! I usually don't take images of our small town because I hate invading everyone's privacy, but her red top really stood out against the fog. I could hardly resist.

I find that the power lines add a lot to this picture. Because there are so many of them, it's making a statement about our environment. Like it or not, they're here to stay. And, this is a lovely composition.

The power lines work fine here - they're not always bad. But I'm wondering... were you following the red lady with the umbrella? :op Love this shot with all the mist. The woman's red is in such vivid contrast to the wet surroundings. Great image.

You "dang" the power lines, but I love 'em in this shot!! They are what makes this different (and interestingly so) to me than a straight shot without them. Gives it character. As for USM, try not using it at all on this. It's a soft shot - leave it soft. Add a little (very little) Gaussian blur, even. And if you REALLY want to work on the power lines, try the healing brush. It will work fairly well on the narrow ones. You'd still have to clone the thicker ones, though.

Ohhhhh that is so COOOOOOL!!!!!! One thing that helps cloning come off better is if you change the exposure at the top down to a lower opacity and make your brush not totally soft, but not too hard.

I love this just like it is. . .but if didn't have the power lines, it would be art store gallery work!!!

Darn, I want to be there!!!!!!
