Bought cactus from ikea. Got some sand from the beach. Set it all together in front of my lcd screen with a desert wall paper. Side table halogen lamp for light. Photoshop hue and saturation, levels, unsharp mask, crop.

Subject - this is a horticultural cactus graft. It wouldn't be growing out on a desert. A pretty kitchen window would be more appropriate. The background is distracting and muddy. doesn't work for me.
