This certainly meets the “texture” part of the challenge, but, it could use a single point of interest to make good use of that interesting texture as background. A little sharper would have helped as well.
What *is* it??? I have no idea! I wish the image were sharper, but not so I can figure out what it is, just because it's too blurry. :) I would have cropped off the black in the corner, too!
Excellent idea and I like to monochromatic nature of it, but I 'd personally like to see a sharper focus in the foreground and the top right black spot is distracting. Good luck.
This might have worked, but I don't see anything in focus, and little variation in value. Perhaps if you stepped back and used a stronger light source?
This is interesting, it kind of looks like coral at the sea bottom. But is seems to be a little out of focus and the color is a bit dull. But it is fitting of the challenge.
Lacks detail, and perhaps focus though that's difficult to tell with that lack of detail. Some sensation of texture though, so you'll gain a point or so there.
