A nice clear picture, with good detail and colors, but it seems too static. He's pretty dead center and that hurts the composition.

A difficult capture and the angle capture makes it even more difficult to create the kind of blur that would take this from great to amazing. Good job though animals are tough.

Like many other bird pics in this challenge, merely shooting an animal doesn't convey the concept of searching. Maybe it would've worked better with a wider shot showing the what the bird is looking at.
