You may not notice it at first, but he's picking the red one in the lower right corner. You can see his fingers on the apple. It's his job to pick good apples as the farm workers get paid for the level of production. So he is searching for the ones that will be sold to the consumers.
Not literal enough to do well here. If it finishes above 5 I'll be surprised. I put it in because I like it.

Nice idea. The person seems to be a secondary subject since he is in the background. I think this photo would be stronger if there was a more prominent primary subject, such as, an apple very close up in the foreground, with the person still in the background.
It would have been a great shot had you posed the apple picker on a higher ladder. That way, you could have lit the subject with a spot light and his face would have been less shaded. I can't see his eyes clearly enough. Perhaps, having him pose so that his head was completely out of the way of the branches would have worked better. And, that's not a Gucci Hoodie. The apple pickers here wear Gucci. Try to make it less candid and more staged next time. BTW....how did you get that apple bush (or is it a tree?) into the studio? And.....the apple just above his head to the right of his head, seems to have a hole in it. I think that there must be a worm in it.
