Here's a case where blur comes from kitty (lil' Skittles) poking her face into the camera (refer to shadow in lower right corner of image :-) after I had focused on her a bit further out

PP: Added a bit of LucisArt Whyeth, adjusted levels and then channel mixer to mostly desat; merge layers, duplicate image and run Urban Acid then flatten those layers, paste as layer back into original and adjust to taste...

GOOD GRIEF. This really is fantastic and the shadow just sends it over the top. I post a dog, you have your kitty. ;~D This is really a fun side challenge. I'm a huge fan of your stuff!!

So soft and yet still strong in composition.
I really like the cats shadow in the background along with the wonderful tonal range......
It almost has an ageing feel to this fine image.
