A postlude to my caterpillar shot from last month :-) One of the very few photos not taken in manual mode - I took this in sports mode as the butterfly was moving very quickly. Luckily there was just enough sun to get a good exposure without too much background clutter. Square crop, cloned part of one leaf, upped yellow in one of the flowers.

Well, you know I love butterflies, and what can I say, this is exquisite. The butterfly is in perfect condition, the focus and color are great, and I really like the composition. The soft green background really off-sets the subject.

No vote, but this did come up in my first 100 for comment. :-) Lovely shot, with not-overdone color, great bokeh, and a good comp to show off this guy. I love the detail on the wing.
