I don't know how you managed to get two COWS to look so majestic, but you did. Maybe those mountains in the background have something to do with it. Love the contrast between the cows, and between them and the rest of the photo. Very well seen.
Great shot! This really makes a nice b/w photo. It must have been difficult to get a crisp shot with 1/8 shutter speed. I can see a little movement in the cow's heads, but not enough to distract. Don't be afraid to bump that 400d up to 800 or even 1600 ISO so you can get a little faster shutter speed.
Black and While cows for a B&W challenge?! :-) Nice sharpness on the cows. I like the hills in the backgroud. Maybe a little wider crop with the hills and sky would have been cool.
