 This caught my attention because of the powerful backlight (from the sun) and the black shirt, dark skin, and dark hair provided a marked contrast. This is a friend of mine praying during a sacred moment.

I took this with my new little Fujifilm E900, which is a nifty little camera for about $200 (9mp, 4x zoom, great images, slips into pocket).

I agree the dramatic lighting is awesome in this, and the composition is also excellent. Great job!

Extreme lighting works so well with B/W. You've told an interesting story here, both in text and with an intriquing image. Nicely done!
