First day of fall. This is my first entry with my new lens the 70-200 with IS. I guess it works. Shot out of car window while my hubby was driving down HWY 89 going 65 miles an hour. I can't believe I didn't need to crop or rotate it. I wish this was advanced editing, I would have dodged and burned the hell out of this. Oh well.

WOAH nice shot and finish Alecia! The tones and exposure are perfect. I agree with you on the dodge and burn you could really create a dramatic mood with this shot.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, eh. A little north of you. Your great pic reminds me of the time I lived in Calgary which is very close to the Rocky Mountain foothills. Keep that lens - it obviously performs well under difficult conditions! Ya shoulda gotta top 10 finish! Keep up the good work!
No you didn't!!! Out a car window driving 65 miles an hour!!!!! Sheeeeeeeeesh. That is so not fair :) This is BEAUTIFUL. I couldn't have gotten one this stunning with a tripod on the side of the road :) CONGRATULATIONS!
I don't know what it is about this photo that draws me to it. Perhaps it's simplicity, maybe it's the lovely layers that lead me through the image or it could be all the warm tones to it. Whatever it is, it's one of my favorites of the challenge. So peaceful.
simply love this shot - the composition is spot on, the lighting is soft but not underexposed, the layers of hills, and the border all work so well together
