I was really happy with this image from the Sept Walkabout. I realize it was seen by many people, but I decided to enter it because it is among the best images I have taken all month.
RAW image opened in CS2 - adjusted exposure, curves, sharpness. Save. Opened in Elements - adjusted levels, hue/saturation, cropped, noise ninja. cloned out imperfection on bottom of leaf. Save for web. Opened and USM at small radius. Added border. Save for web
Post Challenge Thanks to all those who commented. I completely agree about the framing - it was actually something I put in to determine how i was going to frame it when I printed it out. Unfortunately, when I entered the challenge I 'didn't even see it'. I was concentrating on the image and forgot that I had that crazy border around it. I had intended on putting a simple white frame around to separate it from the grey background of the DPC page. Oh Well! I think my score suffered from it - I will live and learn - make sure to really look at the image before submitting

Cool leaves and bokeh. Nice detail and colors. Almost totally ruined though with your choice in border. Really a bad choice. Gave you a 7 - possibly could have been an 8.
The texture is so well rendered I can feel it. Lovely. You may get some negative comments on the frame... I think frames are mostly a personal choice, but this one slightly detracts from the delicate nature of the detail in this shot.
