Nice exposure, but the black reflected in the top of the ring makes it look rather ominous. If you were to shoot it again I would have lit either the area behind your hand or the area reflected in the ring. As it is the dark tone is repeated and the sense of moving from one state to another is blunted. Good focus and I like the contrast between you palm and the smoothness of the metal.
While I understand your photo, I think if you took a different approach, id be better, just cause I dont htink the mood of this photo matches the intent of what you wanted to do.
