Unfortunately I did not estimate the exposure settings correctly and overexposed this image. Fortunately, thanks to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom I was able to get it back to how you see it now. It is amazing to me what kind of colors a camera can get out of a night sky depending how long the shutter is open. (In this photo it was open for 1 hr. and 8 min.)

Nice shot with a clever idea but for me it doesn't meet the still life aspect. In my opinion, still life is suppose to be a break from documentation (i.e. think setup) and this on the other hand documents the effects of the earth's rotation as captured with a camera.
