At NIFA landing competitions, the aircraft go out in flights of 4 or 5 aircraft for each heat. Here, they had just started up and were waiting to taxi out. Note the markings on the wheels to help the landing judges...
This was my one of my first real excursions out east. I was surprised by the terrible air quality, but it made for great light. So I won't complain too much
