This is as shallow as I can go with my camera (not that I think I could make this better with shallower DOF). Not expecting to do well but I couldn't resist entering.
No advanced editting here. Levels. Adjusted the colour ballance again in the red channel.

I was just looking for my Scabble set a few minutes ago ... I'd have used the horizontal word (diner) in the title to reinforce in the voters' minds the shallowness of focus. I just hope I don't jinx your entry!
Nice idea, good challenge example, nice lighting. - Good job. Critique: I might have removed the cover from the background, unnecessary distraction, may have filled the entire frame with the scrabble board instead.
