This was created by putting a piece of paper in front of me. The crop is tighter than it should be, because I don't have a studio and there was background stuff all around me. The side of the piece of paper was faint to begin with and disappeared once I adjusted levels. I did not obscure the top of the piece of paper in post because that could be a dq-able offense. I did do some dodging and burning in an attempt to capture the "glow" of the original. I am very happy to get almost a 6 (it was a 6 until the scrub dammit) and loved getting all those comments. Maybe DPC does have a sense of humor after all!
p.s. don't it make my brown eyes blue!

Greetings from the critique club. First let me tell you that I havent done a CC in a while, so when I logged in and got this, first thing I did was spit soda on the screen, so then I had to clean my screen. You are brave to put something like this in DPC as normally DPC doesnt have a sense of humor. You proved that they do. Based on advanced editing and you chose an expert editing challenge you were really under the gun to try and get the look. You were very creative with the paper and the sketching I'd like to have seen the sketching and the body line up a little better, but thats pretty tough to do. I also see a few places where over sharpening seem to be an issue. Overall given the challenge I think you did well.
I haven't had much time to go through the photos lately, but just a quick wow comment. Tons of balls and humor on t his . You actually nailed the lighting pretty well. Love those sketched in abs. Classic.
Your face is rather convincing in the photo but I had to really stare at this one to figure out what was going on. I think you could have pulled this one off a little better.
Upon first glance I thought, Now what the heck is this sup--Oh - My - Lord!!!!! Giggles fall to chuckles. I am sure you are getting alot of commentary thanking you on your parody that this gave them either fits of laughter or a few chuckles. This is the sort of thing that makes me really think that the wording of this Deja challenge should have allowed for parody just to invite more creative spin into the challenge. I am sure you are most likely getting hammered but the creative out-of-the box thinking of yours is good. It is just the technicals that really detract from the overall composition. I know that you were greatly hampered on how to effectively 'blend' the drawing with your live model (Expert Editing and all). That hard line really is distracting and I wish your left hand fit better with the drawn arm that it is supposed to be attached too. Hmmmm, I wonder...hmmmm, might a skin colored spandex fabric (you know the kinda form fitting tights that most superheroes go running around in;-) stretched out like the paper worked better. The spandex fabric would then have your charcol drawing of a manly chest with your model's pose 'fitted' to look like he is the continuation of the drawing. You would also have to adjust the White Balance on the camera just to make sure that the tones don't vary too much. Then with this being Advanced Editing you may have been able to get away with cloning/blurring out the 'line' between drawing and live model.
LOL!!!! I think I'm scarred for life! At least you can't be accused of violating copyright on the original...not even close. I've probably scored it higher than it deserves because you so obviously need all the help you can get, and I really did enjoy your sense of the ridiculous!
LOL, great work, I almost confused your model with silverfoxx. good color and lighting. Crop is a bit tight. your drawing is not as subtle, but that's a minor flaw.
Very funny. Hard to choose between the not-so-good photo and the great humour. Which shall I vote for? I reckon, against my best judgment I have to vote on the photo. Darn it.
