Obviously a spoof of Arti-Elvi's blue ribbon winning self-portrait.
I love her quirky portraits!
Not only was it challenging to open my eyes that wide(!!!!)it was impossible to match the cool end result of her post-processing. Bugger!! I was shootin' for "silly" anyway.
Lit the back with a clamp lamp & a desk lamp. Lit my face with more clamp lamps. Shot in Raw. Adjustments in Lightroom. Elements - crop, high pass sharpen, USM, minor cloning, dodge/burn, blur, slective color, hue/sat, levels, curves, enhanced vignette, neat image, save for web.

This is so funny and really matches the fun spirit of the original. Destiny has decided against you, but if you check the Posthumous Ribbons thread you'll see that you got an Almost Blue Ribbon from me.
And I hereby publically apologize for my misrecognition. It's merely a testament to your ability to transcend the individual and achieve the universal. :P
LOL!!! Awesome!! I so wish I'd had time to vote this challenge, though I would not have recognized this as you at all. Exceptionally well done tribute - I think you did a great job with the lighting and the processing. And 'grats on beating that Timfy guy, too. :-)
Ah, now look what you did! I am hungry for some cheese...going to get the Mahon Spanish cheese in the fridge to nibble on:-) O.K. back to the critique. Lighting and color tones are simply excellent in your composition! Love the model's expression and the title really plays up the humor of the photo. I really don't have any suggestions on how to improve upon this image. Good job on this one!
scarbrd, is that you? You and I are the only parodies in the whole challenge, I think. Thank God for us! And our wives! This is so funny... finally something I can give a 10 to.
oh this is one of my fav portraits ever. Great job copying the color scheme. You did great on the face but I think you could have had much more contrast around the edges. Still, great job
