The trickiest part was getting the flute hanging at the wall on two thin strings (considering the price of the thing...). Post-editing consisted of cropping, spot-editing to remove string shadows, and level correction.

i think the flute is the wrong way for how the hands are facing...other than that i like it tho! and that probably only bugs me because I'm a huge music freak lol
I expected more people to comment on this, but it is actually correct as it is: the flute is viewed from behind (you can see the thumb key and the g# key) so you also have to see the player/shadow from behind. That is, flute extending to the right. Being a flute player, for me this is the only 'natural' way to see a flute: I never look at myself from the front, and even in the mirror it looks like this!

This would be much better if the wall you were shooting on were more even toned. It might be just hte lighting, but I think it should be a uniform color. Slightly out of focus.
