Wow, my worst challenge!
I am quite disappointed, perhaps I didn't understand the topic. I like this painting of the Master. But the pupil is too bad :-((
I'll disappear for a while from DPC and hope to come back with better ideas and a better technique.

My feeling about impressionism, is that you are able recognize the subject...it just has a lot of texture and brush strokes. You have achieved this...but, it seems a bit overdone. I do like the sky alot.
