Not sure what to do I found this elsewhere and used a dahlia image for it. Hope it does better than my free study, it almost has to.
Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Sharpen. Crop. Spot edit two imperfections in the petals. Resize canvas first in black, 50 pixels, then rose 20 pixels then in black again to 8 inches square then in black again to 9 inches square from the two sides and the bottom to accomodate the text. Added text. Resize canvas again by 20 pixels in gold text color. Resize. Sharpen.

I think another angle may have been better. Perhaps directly above the flower looking straight down? You would have had a whole lot more in focus that way. I like the quote though and the pretty layout as well. Good job :)
good crop and color, DOF is a bit shallow - too much OOF in the foreground. nice layout, the outer border is unnecessary IMO. Typeface is everything but elegant, sorry.
