This is my wonderful husband Andy.

For two weeks every year we are the same age (and then he gets older - GRIN!)

This was the first shot taken with my brand new Canon 100mm 2.8 USM Macro - JUST after he gave it to me last week for my 40th birthday.

he's got the look of "oh shit, why did I get her that?" in his eyes. ;)

Well Andy cannot fail to be happy with the outstanding gift he got you for your 40th if this is the type of stuff you are going to produce with it. This is a wonderful capture, full of humanity and love (the conversion is fantastic, especially the eyes)

Brilliant image (and no way not better than mine in the same FS)

A very belated happy birthday, enjoy your gifts

I thought this was a rather intimate exposing portrait. A certain moment and feeling. Nice work.

hmmm surprised this score where it did, technically solid. This is a keeper. Don't you just love that lens? I just got mine a few days ago.

You say that like it's old to be 40. :-) Nice portrait.

Nice in your face portrait. Perfect focus and DOF. I like the crop. Usually if you "chop off" a chin, it looks funky, but you pulled it off. Well done.
