Nice shot. I usually like pictures with a lot of contrast, but in this case the lack of contrast really works. It's almost like you have to search for the boy a little bit, and I thought that was cool.
A very interesting tree and the boy poses well to help sell the point. The tree is very busy though and the boy almost disappears into the limbs. One less limb crossing in front of him might help.
Interesting tree and limbs. The tree bark has a green cast to it but that may be as it is in reality. I'd consider bumping the contrast to get the bark to pop but that may blow the highlights. 6
