I went to our zoo looking for one of those "in-your-face" owl shots. I got some "okay" ones, but having the visions in my mind of some of the owl photos I've seen here that have won ribbons (Risa), made my owl shots fell way short so I decided to try for a rugged old alligator or turtle and moved on. On my way, I spotted the flamingos and thought, "hmmmm. . ..might as well see what you can get as long as you're here". . . .and in the end, I liked this one better than the owls, the alligators, or turtles. So this was my best fill the frame of the week.
