Fantastic shot--Inspiration about what can be achieved with fairly basic kit

well done Mudassar on a personal best image and a ribbon...this is striking and powerful

This is beautiful. I am especially taken by the slight blurriness of the topmost wing feathers, adding a grace note of suspended motion to this otherwise crystal-sharp image. Lovely PP also.

Very fine backlighting. Love to see the pigeon ennobled; how rarely do we see its fine feathers. Worth 10.

That's nice. Some blurr in the wings, but those tail feathers are just excellent along with the overall perspective.
Post actions
Good capture. The underbody of the bird could be a little lighter in value.

Presenting this photo in Black & White makes it a winner with me. It shows the luminous transparency of the feathers. Nice composition.

i like how the tail feathers are translucent

Nice image - Love the softness and great use of a shutter speed slow enough to blur the wings - Just wish there was a little more lightness and highlights in the birds wings and body.
Post actions
beautiful transparancy of the wings.

I like the effect on the tail feathers but the body is a little too dark. There's not much you could have done about it I suppose.

Nicely captured. I like how it's not a flat background, but it has some life to it.
