Simply put, this photo was taken with my "sniper lens" (Canon 70-200mm F2.8 IS lens) near sunset. My philosophy for this kind of photography is to pose the couple, walk away, use the "sniper lens" and then encourage them to be natural and simply interact. The backlit glow around the subjects adds more interest to the photograph by adding to the sense of "being in love" that is obvious in the bride's smile.
