 Shot with very low light, hence the 8 second shutter. I underexposed one step to get the back ground darker, but that didnt turn out so well, so I burnt quite a bit of it.

Composition is just too straight on. There are a lot of different combinations of ball-bat positions and relative positions that could've been used to add some interest to this photo. Its definitely more original than mine, which works to your advantage. I think there's a good way to get this arranged to add interest, maintain balance and properly represent the subjects you've put forth.

Slightly less glare near the right side of the bat would have me giving it one more point. Very nicely done otherwise.

All-american pasttime! Great idea and I almost did the same thing. I would liked to have seen more of the bat, however. Good detail, focus and lighting.
