in my culture, we are taught to respect and honor our elders. grandparents are seen as a source of wisdom and guidance for us younger folks. they have as much of a hand in our upbringing as our own parents do. grandparents are an essential part of our childhood and adolescence, and they are considered sacred in many ways.

Ah, lucky you to have him. :) I still have one of mine, too. For the future, try either taking off his glasses or finding an angle so you don't get the reflections, which take away from his nice eyes.
