good positioning of the osprey but the sky noise and the halo around the bird really detract - some noise reduction such as noise ninja or neat image could clearly help out here
There's a lot of noise in this - I suspect it was cropped from a larger pic? Also, the halo around the bird points to oversharpening. Did you try converting to blk/wht - it might have made the noise look more like film grain.
Unfortunately this image has a lot of noise and the focus and clarity are not good at all. A very difficult shot to try and capture and well done for trying.
The weird edit, crop, processing are kind of fascinating. The duality of title and singularity of subject make a neat tension, but, of course, the lack of perceived 'quality' will hurt your score. Refreshingly different, at he very least, and quite possibly more ...
