 Day 38 Critters
When it's okay to be unsharp occasionally. ;-Þ

I spied some ducks sitting in a flooded but unplanted rice field, so I thought I'd use them as my Creature subject today. As I stopped the car, a heron landed near them. When I got out of the car, the heron took off, and so did the duks.

Feels kinda dreamy. How would it go pushing the contrast a little further?

The blur works great here; what I find interesting is the lowest bird, which at first glance looks like a shadow.

I love the way the birds are flying out the upper right. Nice blur, too.

Yeah, sometimes blur is good. It's actually an effective photo. I'm thinking Alfred Hitchcock...

I like the diagonal line of birds, certainly conveys the feeling of motion! Bet it would look great in B&W too :-)
