Close-up of the shed skin of my dad's Ball Python, Morobi. She has some kind of nerve damage and is partially paralyzed, so last time I was visiting my dad and my son Isaac helped her shed.
Since the skin is inside-out and dried, the patterns are not so distinct, and the scales look kind of like bubble-wrap.
White Balance set to tungsten, Exposure Compensation to -0.5 eV.
Tone curves to add to boost the drab colors/flat contrast, used the channel mixer to convert to Grayscale, then Duotone mode with Black and Pantone 123 as the colors. Then some sharpening for the details.
