Lake George is just north of Canberra. It's a very large lake that has hardly any water in it. (That water there is a dam for drinking water for sheep.)
It has been completely dry in the last few years, but there are some patches of water in the distance, and quite a lot in the eastern end of it. Its deepest recorded depth is 7 metres (24 feet), but that hasn't been achieved for a very long time.
