Shot this in the city through a window that encloses an overhead walkway overpass thing. The black line is a join in the glass. It just stopped raining.
Cross processed
Yeah again! :) It's the first thing I try on almost every shot I take lately, I have found that on some shots that are going to be b&w, it really helps to increase the range of b&w tones. I'll do a curves layer and cross process, then add a channel mixer layer to convert to b&w.
Yep, works. Cross works on this, probably better than pure B&W. There's an interesting set of pale diagonals which compliment not only the dividing line but the thirds as well. One of the best in this exercise so far, in my opinion.
Damn, Nick. I can peg your stuff from the thumbs!!! I am a big lover of the drippy window. This certainly does NOT disappoint. I like the mystery of it yet we know it's a person over there. The rest is left up to our imagination, which is truly a sign of art when you make the viewer think.
