My first challenge entry with my brand new D40. Basically I went down into my basement, set up some black sheets against the back of a couch and on a box for the wine glasses. Filled them to their respective levels with grape juice and started shooting. 17 tries later and I got this! I wanted a white background but couldn't find anything that appeared a flat white in the end result to use as the background.

I guess people didn't get it - the focus get fuzzier the more drinks ya have etc... but oh well - Even though it didn't work for a lot of people it still works for me.
did u use a flash? the usual problem with glass is to front light it, you will need a large light source (much larger than the glass itself) or else u will get these hotspots. nice try anyways.
a little to dark and to much of the object are out of focus. Not really nice to look at. If you had used white wine or something like that, it would have been much nicer.
