I have to agree with malfish, this shot does seem boring, HOWEVER, if thats the feeling you were going for, you nailed it. I do a lot work with professional digital video, and if I wanted to make a characters world seem very bland and boring to be around, I'd use compositions like this to emphasize the characters world, or maybe I should say lack of :)
