After several false starts, I was elated to find this guitar which had been left out in the rain at an abandoned campsite on a moutain top. I knew there had to be a heartbreak story there! The repeated rhythms of the frets and strings seemed a perfect fit for the challenge, so I brought it home and set up a shot to show them to best advantage in a humorous, punny way. Used two extractions in RAW at different settings. Selective USM & blur, replace color, border.

The only strong repeating patterns here are the strings and the frets, both of which come across as being entirely incidental to the shot. The smashed body of the guitar draws the eye and keeps it there, leaving the patterns to beat out a rhythm which goes unheard.
