some mature fiddlehead ferns taken early in the morning lit by the shade of pines and a few rays of sunlight...crop, levels, curves, gaussian blur with layer mask to give soft feel, hue/saturation, cloned out a few spots on fern and a small brown stem under the ferns, usm
The softness was intentional to give some mood so I'm expecting to hear about the lack of sharpness...

What beautiful lighting! Looks like a glow treatment or similar? There is something about the composition that doesn't feel quite right, though - I think it may be the bright fern on the right edge; it detracts from the highlights that work very well on the large fern.
I like the composition. the 2 branches in the upper right corner are distracting. Good didea to break the pattern in the lower left corner. nice strong tones.
