This is a new variety of cactus called, "Brain" Cactus.
I fell in love with this plant, which is in a 6 inch oval ceramic glazed shallow pot, and brought it for myself for my recent birthday.
When this "Rhythm" challenge came up, I instantly thought of this cactus. I had to use my macro setting to get it at its best. I really love the rhythmic flowing lines and curves, and repeating patterns.

Congrats on making the top25. At first glance the cactus looked like some undersea coral. One of those, it's not what you think shots ;)
Thanks heaps for all these comments, as I also was very pleased with this image, and the result, as it has been four months since I entered a challenge.....
Well, I haven't gone through all the images yet, but I have a feeling this is the best of the bunch. Solid 9 in my book, maybe a half stop more depth to make it a 10. Terrific textures and lines.
