A test shot with new cam (300D) and first pics I took with news lens (70-200 F4L).
Only have took about 20 snaps with lens..
Image was taken inside - shot through a window--
Cat was on my sons 4-wheeler, and a bar was on the left side I cloned out, perfectly legal in this challenge, other adjustments, were just slight level and sharpen after resize--
Love my new cam, just expecting a 5.5 maybe lower, but I wanna play!
I apologize if ya seen the shot before, I posted it for comments a couple days ago, my advice on new lens..

Really nice expression. Beautiful facial focus. But it seems that there is too much retouching on its back (right side). If you crop the picture right in - just keeping the eyes nose mouth and tongue in, it retains its beauty and looks fantastic. It would have got a 9 but have had to mark lower sorry.
Wow those wiskers pop! Nice use of DOF. What a fierce expression - those pointy white teeth, the ears twisted just so. My cats wish they looked this intimidating!
Hate cat pics, they are always just snaps of someone's pet moggie ........ but not this one. Great photo, almost enough to make me change my mind on cat pics. 8.
Beautiful expression of the cat. The only drawback of this picture is the white background. Too white and the hair of the cat were cut abruptly. Still a good shot though.
