I'm not at all comfortable with portraits or street photography. I hoped shooting wide open would give me a shallow DOF cause the BG is messy. Don't know if she saw me, in which case I could have taken a few more shots, but I didn't want to get "caught" taking unwanted photos.
you pressed the shutter at an excellent moment & the BG works well w/this composition. Those careful blue hands, the contemplative face, the soft light, all lovely.
I like the moment caught. The lady is concentrating on the ground with a tangle of flowers in hand, maybe planting. Her expression appears sad as if something has happened recently. The jumble of elements behind are what naturally are there, they bother me not at all. This is nice.
