 Made a cut-out of elvis (a la Jailhouse Rock) and then propped it up. Used flash to add a shadow, channel mixer to convert to B&W, inverted, and viola! "Paper Elvis".

Thanks everyone! I am so happy right now. As you can see in the description, I reversed the colors to get the black Elvis cutout and make the background white/light gray. Also, the shadow just happened due to the way the flash hit it. I took about 20 shots at various angles, and when I saw this, I knew it was the one I wanted.
