i love the iridescent quality of this shot....my eye keeps returning to the circular patterns as well....wonderful use of color....i hope this picture does very well!
Excellent idea, good execution. I find the rings fascinating and this is one of ny favurite photos in this challenge. I would have preferred more backlighting on the onion, but that is only a minor thing. Well done.
The backlighting on this photo creates a really interesting image... being able to see the light/dark detail from within the onion slice is very interesting :) = 7 - jmsetzler
Fantastic use of lighting; I can't decide as to how; clever foreground lighting or a very bright back light. Whatever, it really brings out the fractal patterns of the subject and displays the beauty within the onion that would normally remain unseen… (9)
