Missing link is a biological term for evolution missing links between pre-historic and modern animals/man. So my vulture ate the missing link animals, thus no link has been found. Must have went over many DPCers heads or no sense of humour this challenge? :)

I like the sense of occasion brought about by your careful matching of the sky tone to the background of the site: this image would simply not have the same effect viewd in almost any other circumstances - unless it be a Mark Rothko-style specification of a gallery's wall colour. I'm uncertain of the reference of your title, however.
