Such an exceptional image. The lighting is fantastic, and her shadow so crisp. A textbook example of negative space, too.

Beautiful shot. I heard her singing in Ottawa once, when we still lived there. You're right about the voice, it's extraordinary! She is quite a presence.

It amazes me sometimes what can move us to tears. Photographs, music, books, even parades are on my list. I was at a wedding reception and an oompah band spontaneously came over to serenade the couple. THAT made me cry, believe it or not. So I can easily picture this woman's voice from your photo. And this would make an excellent CD cover by the way. You should submit it to her website to see if she'd be interested in using it.
