Opposite ends of the spectrum - black and white. Very simple and relevant. Don't know why I didn't think of that myself! I don't think everyone will like the fact that the face is cropped but I think it's fine. If anything I wonder if the DOF is a bit to shallow? His/her right eye is in focus but I don't think the left is. But you obviously did the right thing to go for the eyes. Altogether a lovely shot.
