as i was walking on the firetrail i heard the sound of a bird eating .. these parrot type birds make fairly loud eating noises ..
i could just see him thru the trees and bushes .. it would'v made a much better photograph if i could'v got closer, but there was a fence and i wasnt THAT keen ..
What an amazing bird to see flying around like that! You're very lucky. Every time I visit South Florida, I see wild parrots and I still get excited when I see them.
You are so lucky to see such beautiful birds in natural habitat like this. I get to see sparrows and an occasional blue jay or yellow finch. Pretty colored bird!
This is actually much cooler than if you had been close up - because it gives us a sneaky-pie kind of feeling. The bird clearly has no clue that you are there. Ha! Great colors, too - and all that wild foliage (spoken as someone who lives in dry barrenness).
