An extreme macro of the center of a purple coneflower. Had the 50mm reversed on the zoom again. Still handheld 'cuz I'm a glutton for punishment.
PP - converted from RAW, rotated, cropped, reduced noise, USM, burnt edges of seeds slightly (I know they have another name at this stage, but they're gonna' be seeds shortly), increased saturation a little, smudged the ones in the background and the bottom of the foreground. Think that's it.
(I've tried this technique, too, but I'm afraid of getting dust inside the lens.) The lighting and soft focus are nice here. My eye is drawn to the pollen grains on the left. I think a square crop (crop the top part of the photo) would look good.
This is really neat. Now I want to go out and try a reversed lens capture. How do you keep dust and stuff out of the 50mm lens when the inside is left open like that?
Anyway, I love your picture and the PP you did to it. Very nice.
