 This was taken at 3:15am as a line of thunderstorms were crossing Lake Ontario, North of Rochester. When lightening strikes water it makes a really loud and deep droplet sound in addition to the thunder.

For scale, the white light at the end of the pier is close to a half mile away, and about 15 feet above the pier.
