the lighting at the bottom is a little arkward. otherwise nice b/w tones

Nice contrast, the only thing that bothers me is the shadow on the boys face

the lighting is really strange here. it puts shaddows in uncomfortable places and blows out other areas. another note, spending time with a friend on the weekend says more outside in the yard with a chewtoy than with a black background and portrait lighting. you did a good job posing them together though. would have been even cooler if the dog had looked down so there was more of a connection between the two
